Kent Imaging Announces FDA 510(k) Clearance
of SnapshotNIR (KD205)

ACTIONABLE, ACCURATE DATA

THE POWER OF DIAGNOSTIC-DRIVEN WOUND CARE IS IN YOUR HANDS!

The latest model of SnapshotNIR has features that expand the application of the technology to include almost all skin tones, advancing tissue assessment for physicians and patients. In addition to the same user-friendly interface and portability as past devices, the new KD205 model measures tissue oxygen saturation (StO2), oxyhemoglobin and deoxyhemoglobin in nearly all individuals at any location on the body.

NEWS: Kent Imaging Announces FDA 510(k) Clearance of SnapshotNIR (KD205)

SnapshotNIR is a Canadian-developed near-infrared (NIR), reflectance-based technology that measures tissue oxygen saturation (StO2) in superficial tissue. Using wavelengths of NIR light, it measures relative amounts of oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin in the microcirculation where oxygen exchange is happening. The device provides users with a tissue oxygenation map that can be used for assessing therapeutic efficacy, tracking and trending wound healing, and evaluating tissue viability to help improve medical decision-making.

Our cost-effective and easy-to-use wound imaging device is completely non-invasive, eliminating the need for patient contact or injected dyes. Accurately capture diagnostic insight into the availability of oxygenated blood in tissue at any location on the body. SnapshotNIR’s actionable data is helping to provide insight for improved decision-making, forging a path in advanced diagnostic-driven wound care throughout the continuum of care.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND SNAPSHOT

Chronic wounds are a health problem with significant reductions in quality of life and can have devastating consequences such as limb amputations and premature death. SnapshotNIR is a medical imaging device that visualizes and maps tissue oxygen saturation in the capillary network.

Find out how SnapshotNIR supports treatment decisions, documents healing progression, and helps clinicians positively impact patient outcomes in wound care, limb preservation, and reconstructive surgery.

Benefit both your patient outcomes & your practice.

Current diagnostic tools to assess tissue health are either costly or difficult to employ (or both), and visual assessment alone is not adequate to see the whole picture. Historically there have been no easy or cost-effective ways to directly assess tissue viability.

Enter SnapshotNIR, a non-invasive, easy-to-use and repeatable tool to assess and track the tissue oxygen level in a patient, whether at a chronic or surgical wound site or in an area of vascular concern, including patients with higher melanin content.
